Arava Gopi and Pawan transferred to Ladakh; Bhupesh and Shashanka shifted to DNH&DD
NEW DELHI: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has ordered a major reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers belonging to the Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) Cadre, with significant changes involving the Union Territory of Ladakh.
As per the order issued by the MHA, IAS officer Arava Gopi Krishna (2012 batch) has been transferred from Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu (DNH&DD) to the Union Territory of Ladakh. Among IPS officers, Pawan Kumar has been transferred from Delhi to Ladakh.
In another key movement concerning Ladakh, IAS officer Bhupesh Chaudhary and Shashanka Ala (both 2014 batch), who were serving in Ladakh, have been transferred to Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu.
The order, issued with the approval of the competent authority, includes transfers and postings of 21 IAS officers and 40 IPS officers of the AGMUT Cadre. The officers have been directed to assume their new assignments with immediate effect and until further orders.
The reshuffle covers several Union Territories and states under the AGMUT Cadre, including Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Lakshadweep and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
The movement of senior officers comes at a time when Ladakh is witnessing a major phase of institutional expansion, with focus on strengthening governance, improving public service delivery, and enhancing administrative efficiency across its two districts and newly created administrative units.
