NYOMA: Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, and SSP Changthang Zaheer Abbas Jafri, JKPS, attended the annual prayer gathering at Tashi Chosling Nunnery in Hanle on Thursday, interacting with the nuns and members of the monastic community during their visit.
The two officers participated in the prayers and conveyed their best wishes to the nunnery and its members. They also acknowledged the institution’s role in preserving the Buddhist spiritual and cultural traditions of the Changthang region.
The visit provided an opportunity for the civil and police administration to engage with the monastic community and hear from members of the nunnery during the annual gathering.
The participation of senior officials also reflected the administration’s continued engagement with monastic institutions in Changthang and its support for efforts to preserve the region’s religious and cultural traditions.
