Enumerators, Supervisors directed to ensure complete household data, follow prescribed guidelines.
KHALTSE: Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Kunzes Angmo (JKAS) has directed Enumerators and Supervisors deployed for Census 2027 to ensure accurate and complete data collection from every household, while strictly adhering to prescribed guidelines and maintaining confidentiality during the population enumeration exercise.
Angmo issued the directions during a three-day training programme for Enumerators and Supervisors at the Conference Hall of the DC Office, Sham, Khaltse, which concluded on Saturday.
The training, held from August 20 to 22, focused on preparing field functionaries for population enumeration, including prescribed procedures, guidelines, roles and responsibilities, and the accurate collection and recording of census-related information.
The Deputy Commissioner also asked the field staff to clearly explain relevant aspects of the census exercise to the public. She stressed that sincerity, accuracy and strict adherence to prescribed guidelines would be essential for the successful conduct of Census 2027.
Angmo appreciated the efforts of the officials and field trainers involved in the training programme.
The programme was conducted under the supervision of Sub-Division Census Officer/Charge Officer, Khaltse, Mohd Sharif, and Deputy Charge Officer, Khaltse, Attaullah Khan.
Field Trainers Dr Zakir Hussain and Tsewang Dorjay conducted detailed sessions through PowerPoint presentations, covering the enumeration process, prescribed procedures, guidelines and responsibilities of field staff. Practical guidance and clarifications were also provided to prepare the participants for field-level duties.
Participants were sensitised to the importance of reliable and accurate data collection, with emphasis on diligence, confidentiality and compliance with prescribed procedures during the enumeration exercise.
Mohd Sharif appreciated the participation of the Enumerators, Supervisors and field trainers, and said continued coordination among all concerned officials would be maintained for the smooth and timely completion of the population enumeration exercise.
The three-day programme concluded with the trained field staff equipped with the necessary procedural knowledge and practical understanding to undertake population enumeration effectively in Sub-Division Khaltse.
