LEH: Students of Government Model Middle School, Taru, visited the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, where they took part in creative and hands-on activities aimed at developing curiosity, problem-solving skills and confidence.
The students visited the Balvatika Room at DIET Leh on August 27 and engaged in drawing, interactive activities at the Tinkers Wall and performances on the institute’s stage.
Through the Tinkers Wall, the students were introduced to hands-on activities designed to encourage curiosity, innovation and problem-solving. They also expressed their imagination through colourful drawings during the visit.
The stage activity gave the students an opportunity to showcase their talents before an audience and helped them overcome stage fear while developing confidence in public speaking and performance.
Nine teachers accompanied the students and facilitated the activities throughout the visit, ensuring that the programme combined learning with recreation and active participation.
The visit underlined the role of experiential learning in children’s development by bringing together creativity, play and performance. The activities provided the students an opportunity to develop confidence, imagination and emotional expression beyond conventional classroom learning.
