LEH: His Holiness Taklung Matul Rinpoche and His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche received a ceremonial welcome at Leh Airport on Friday, where a large gathering of monks, devotees, religious leaders and public representatives assembled to receive the two revered Buddhist figures at the start of their religious visit to Ladakh.
Former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the BJP-led Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Leh, Advocate Tashi Gyalson, was among those who accorded the visiting spiritual leaders a warm reception upon their arrival.
The reception was attended by prominent religious leaders, the BJP Ladakh State General Secretary, the nominated Councillor from Zanskar, former councillors, venerable Geshes, members of the monastic community and a large number of devotees, reflecting the religious importance attached to the visit.
The visit of His Holiness Taklung Matul Rinpoche and His Eminence Kundeling Tatsak Rinpoche is centred on spiritual and religious engagements and is expected to provide devotees from Ladakh with an opportunity to receive blessings and seek spiritual guidance.
Such visits by eminent Buddhist leaders continue to occupy an important place in Ladakh’s religious and cultural life, drawing participation from across the region and reinforcing its rich monastic traditions and spiritual heritage.
