Leh: The mortal remains of Inspector Mehraj Khalid Giri were laid to rest with full religious rites and a ceremonial guard of honour, as colleagues, family members and well-wishers gathered to pay their final respects.
Incharge DGP Dr. Kaushal Sharma, other senior police officers and personnel besides leaders from political parties and religious heads participated in the solemn ceremony and paid their last respect to the brave-heart. On the occasion, a guard of honour was presented in recognition of his dedicated service. Prayers were offered for the departed soul, and mourners remembered Inspector Giri for his commitment, professionalism and contributions to the force.
The burial ceremony witnessed an outpouring of grief, with tributes pouring in from various quarters, who described his demise as a significant loss and extended condolences to the bereaved family.
