JNV Kargil organises Health and TB screening camp for Students, Staff

KARGIL:  The District Health Society on Saturday organised a General Health and Tuberculosis (TB) Screening Camp at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Kargil, as part of efforts to promote preventive healthcare and strengthen early detection of tuberculosis among students and staff.

The screening camp was led by Dr. Fatima, Head of the District TB Eradication Programme, along with her medical team, who carried out health assessments and tuberculosis screening during the programme.

Principal of JNV Kargil, Raj Kumar, welcomed the medical team and felicitated them for conducting the health camp. He expressed appreciation for the initiative, describing it as a valuable step towards safeguarding the health and well-being of students and school staff.

Officials said the programme forms part of the district’s continuing public health outreach to enhance awareness, facilitate early diagnosis and encourage timely medical intervention through institutional screening programmes.

The District Health Society has scheduled the second round of the screening camp for Monday, when the remaining health assessments and follow-up examinations will be carried out.
