Kargil Youth urged to join VBYLD 2027

KARGIL: Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Kargil, has appealed to young people across the district to participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, a national initiative aimed at providing youth a platform to showcase their ideas, creativity and leadership while contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat.

The District Youth Officer, Kargil, urged students, youth organisations and educational institutions to encourage wider participation in the programme and make use of the opportunities available through its various stages.

The VBYLD 2027 Quiz Challenge, currently underway, will remain open until September 30, 2026. Youth have been encouraged to participate in the quiz and qualify for subsequent rounds of the programme.

The next stage includes the Essay Challenge, followed by district, State and national-level rounds. The programme offers multiple avenues for participation, including the Viksit Bharat Challenge, Cultural Track, Hack for Social Cause and Youth Parliament.

Under the Cultural Track, young participants can showcase their abilities through folk dance, folk songs, painting, declamation and poetry writing, providing a platform for talent from diverse backgrounds.

The selection process is structured to enable participants to progress from the district level to the State and eventually the national stage. The initiative is intended to identify and encourage young people with ideas, talent and leadership potential and provide them with opportunities to engage in the broader national development discourse.

The District Youth Officer said VBYLD 2027 offers young people an opportunity to move beyond participation in conventional programmes and contribute directly through their ideas, creativity and skills to nation-building.

He called upon youth across Kargil, particularly students and members of youth organisations, to participate in large numbers and ensure wider representation of the district in the subsequent stages.

The appeal comes as the nationwide youth engagement programme seeks participation from young Indians across different regions and backgrounds, with the objective of bringing their ideas and aspirations to wider platforms.

Young people interested in participating can register through the MY Bharat portal.

The Kargil administration also encouraged educational institutions and youth organisations to facilitate participation and motivate eligible youngsters to make full use of the opportunity.
