LEH: Ladakh UT Dairy Cooperative Federation Ltd. has announced a revision in retail prices of Milk and Curd from July 25, citing rising transportation and production costs.
According to a press note issued by the Federation, the revised prices will come into effect from July 25, 2026. Under the new rates, a 500 ml packet of toned milk will cost Rs 36, up from the existing Rs 35, while the price of 200 grams of plain dahi has been increased from Rs 25 to Rs 26.
The Federation said the price revision has become necessary in view of the increasing costs of transportation and overall milk production. It stated that the adjustment is aimed at ensuring fair remuneration to dairy farmers while maintaining the quality and uninterrupted supply of milk and dairy products to consumers across the Union Territory.
Reaffirming its commitment to consumers, the Federation said it would continue to provide fresh, safe and nutritious milk while supporting the livelihoods of the farming community. It also expressed gratitude to customers for their continued trust and understanding.
