NEW DELHI: The Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate has won the Overall Championship at the All India Thal Sainik Camp (AITSC) 2026 in New Delhi, securing first place in both the boys’ and girls’ categories at the national-level competition.
Cadets from all 17 NCC Directorates across India participated in the camp, making the Karnataka and Goa Directorate’s performance particularly notable.
The Directorate secured first place in the Overall Championship, Boys’ Category and Girls’ Category, reflecting the performance of its cadets and the preparation undertaken by NCC officers and staff.
Adding to the achievement, Master Paynang of Mahabodhi School Mysore represented the Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate at the national-level AITSC 2026 in New Delhi.
His participation at the national camp has been welcomed by Mahabodhi School Mysore, with the institution describing his selection to represent the Directorate at the national level as a matter of pride.
The management, Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, NCC team and students of Mahabodhi School Mysore congratulated Paynang for representing the institution at the prestigious national competition.
Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi, CEO of Mahabodhi School Mysore, also congratulated the Karnataka and Goa NCC Directorate, participating cadets, NCC officers and staff for their performance at the camp.
The school said Paynang’s participation reflected its emphasis on discipline, leadership, character building, patriotism and the all-round development of students.
The AITSC is among the major national-level training and competitive events of the National Cadet Corps, bringing together cadets from across the country for military-oriented activities and competitions.
For Mahabodhi School Mysore, Paynang’s participation at the national camp adds to the institution’s efforts to provide students with opportunities to compete and represent their Directorate at higher levels.
