The programme brought together youth and volunteers for activities aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being, proper nutrition and healthier lifestyle choices.

As part of the initiative, a general health check-up and basic health screening of youth and volunteers was conducted with the support of District Hospital, Kargil.

Dr Shabani Mehdi, Medical Officer, UPHC Kargil, provided medical guidance to the participants and interacted with them on preventive healthcare, maintaining a healthy lifestyle and other aspects of personal health. Medicines were also distributed to volunteers as part of the health support provided during the programme.

He urged young people to stay away from addiction and encouraged them to adopt healthy and positive lifestyle choices.

Participants were also briefed on the importance of proper nutrition, regular physical activity, preventive healthcare and mental well-being. The programme highlighted the adverse effects of tobacco, substance abuse and addiction on physical and mental health.

The organisers encouraged youth to develop healthy habits and contribute to the broader objectives of the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign through responsible and healthy lifestyles.

MY Bharat Kargil officials appreciated the support extended by District Hospital Kargil, the District Tobacco Control Cell and the SAI Training Centre in conducting the programme.
