NUBRA: Deputy Commissioner, Nubra, Mukul Beniwal (IAS), stressed the need for prudent and effective utilisation of Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) funds to improve healthcare services and meet the requirements of health institutions in the sub-division at the second quarterly RKS meeting held here on Saturday.
Chairing the meeting, Beniwal reviewed the availability and sources of RKS funds, their utilisation and the expenditure proposed for the upcoming quarter. He emphasised that available resources should be deployed efficiently to address the needs of health institutions and strengthen healthcare delivery.
Block Medical Officer (BMO), Nubra, made a detailed PowerPoint presentation before the committee, outlining the agenda items and proposed expenditure for the coming quarter.
The meeting also reviewed various issues concerning the functioning of the RKS and the financial requirements of healthcare institutions under its purview.
Beniwal examined the proposed expenditure and stressed the importance of ensuring that RKS funds are used in a manner that directly addresses healthcare requirements and improves services for patients.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Medical Officer, Executive Engineer, Rural Engineering Works, Nubra; Block Development Officer, Diskit; Block Medical Officer, Nubra; consultant doctors and other members of the RKS committee. The quarterly review is part of the RKS mechanism for assessing the financial and operational requirements of health institutions and ensuring better utilisation of available resources.
