Over 14,000 farmers registered under PM-KISAN, Rs 51.40 crore disbursed

KARGIL: More than 14,000 farmers in Kargil have been accepted as beneficiaries under the PM-KISAN scheme, with ₹51.40 crore disbursed to eligible farmers through the first 23 instalments, according to an official of the Agriculture Department.

Gulzar Hussain, PM-KISAN expert with the Agriculture Department, Kargil, said during a special interview under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan that 14,159 beneficiaries from the district had been accepted on the PM-KISAN portal.

He said payment lots for the 24th instalment had been opened for 12,131 beneficiaries.

On e-KYC compliance, Hussain said 12,931 beneficiaries had completed the required process, while 567 cases remained pending.

He also provided details of the annual e-KYC exercise, stating that 3,062 beneficiaries had completed the process, while 10,436 cases were still pending.

Hussain urged beneficiaries who had not completed e-KYC and other verification formalities to do so at the earliest to avoid delays in receiving future instalments.

The interview was conducted for RNU Akashvani Kargil as part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan.
