KARGIL: The Department of Psychology, University of Ladakh, organised its Cultural Fest 2026 at the Badminton Court, bringing students and faculty together for a day centred on cultural diversity, traditional Ladakhi attire and student-led activities.
Held under the patronage of Vice Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha, the event featured participation from students and faculty members, with the traditional Ladakhi dress code adding a distinct cultural element to the programme.
Dr. Mehboob Ali and Dr. Jaffar Ali Khan, who attended as Chief Guests, were acknowledged for their encouragement and support.
The fest was led by Organisation Chairperson Raghav Guruji, who, according to the organisers, spearheaded the planning and coordination of the event. Sonam Wangmo also played a role in supporting the organisation and execution of the programme.
The event featured a range of activities, including food stalls, an open mic, games and an unplugged jamming session, providing students with an informal platform for cultural expression and interaction.
The organisers attributed the successful conduct of the fest to the guidance of the university administration, student leadership and the participation of students and faculty.
