KARGIL: The All Ladakh Students’ Welfare Association (ALSWAC), Chandigarh, on Wednesday urged Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, to intervene in the delayed declaration of the KSSRB Graduate Level Examination results and expedite the release of pending National Scholarship Portal (NSP) scholarships for the 2025–26 academic session.
During a meeting with the CEC, the delegation submitted a memorandum outlining the concerns of students across Ladakh, stating that the prolonged delay in the KSSRB Graduate Level Examination results had created uncertainty among candidates awaiting recruitment outcomes.
The student body also highlighted the non-disbursement of NSP scholarships for the 2025–26 academic year, alleging that several eligible students were yet to receive their scholarship benefits despite repeated follow-ups, resulting in financial difficulties.
After hearing the delegation, Dr. Akhoon assured members that the issues would be taken up with the concerned authorities. He said the concerns raised by students warranted timely attention and pledged to pursue the matter for an early declaration of the KSSRB results and expeditious release of pending scholarship funds.
The CEC reiterated LAHDC Kargil’s commitment to safeguarding the educational interests of students and appreciated the delegation for presenting their concerns through a constructive dialogue. He assured them that every possible effort would be made to facilitate an early resolution of the issues.
The ALSWAC delegation thanked the CEC for his assurance of support and expressed hope that timely intervention would help address the pending recruitment and scholarship matters.
