LEH: The Leh district administration has finalised logistical and administrative arrangements for the forthcoming NEET Re-Examination, with Deputy Commissioner Romil Singh Donk chairing a review meeting to ensure the examination is conducted smoothly and without disruption.
The meeting focused on preparedness measures at examination centres, transportation facilities for candidates and inter-departmental coordination to facilitate a seamless examination process across the district.
Officials informed the meeting that two examination centres have been designated for the re-examination — Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Leh, and Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV), Leh. Necessary arrangements at both venues are being put in place to ensure a fair and orderly conduct of the national-level entrance test.
To ease the movement of candidates, the administration has arranged dedicated bus services from Choglamsar and Namgyal Chowk to the examination centres. Candidates have been advised to avail themselves of the transportation facilities and report at their respective centres well before the scheduled commencement of the examination.
Reviewing the preparedness of various departments, the Deputy Commissioner directed officials to maintain close coordination and ensure that all operational requirements are addressed in advance so that candidates do not face any inconvenience on the examination day.
The administration has also established support mechanisms for aspirants and their families. Candidates and guardians have been advised to contact the Emergency Helpline 112 for any assistance related to transportation or other examination-related issues.
Officials said the district administration remains committed to extending all necessary support for the smooth, transparent and efficient conduct of the NEET Re-Examination, while ensuring that candidates are provided a conducive environment to appear for the test.
