AgriStack rollout in Sham:
KHALTSI: Deputy Commissioner, Sham, Kunzes Angmo on Friday directed Revenue and Agriculture officials to complete the verification of farmer and land records within a stipulated timeframe as preparations for implementing the AgriStack scheme gathered pace in the district.
Chairing a review meeting at the Conference Hall of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here, Angmo asked officials to ensure that farmer registration, creation of Farmer IDs and digitisation of agricultural data are carried out with accurate records.
The meeting brought together the Naib Tehsildar, Headquarters Khaltsi, officials from the Revenue and Agriculture departments and field-level functionaries associated with the implementation of the scheme.
Officials reviewed the progress of farmer registration and the preparedness of departments for AgriStack, with particular focus on verification of land records and updating farmer-related information.
Angmo directed officials to undertake field-level verification wherever required and settle discrepancies in farmer or land records without delay. She also called for closer coordination between the Revenue and Agriculture departments to prevent inconsistencies in the data being compiled for the scheme.
The administration said effective implementation of AgriStack is expected to help streamline the delivery of government schemes and services to farmers and improve access to agriculture-related benefits.
The digital agriculture framework is also expected to provide government departments with updated data for planning and monitoring programmes in the sector.
The Deputy Commissioner asked all departments and field functionaries to complete their assigned tasks on schedule and maintain regular coordination during the implementation process.
