LEH: Director General of Police, UT Ladakh, Anand Jain, IPS, held an interactive meeting with members of the Retired Police Welfare Association (RPWA), Leh, at Police Headquarters on Thursday, with discussions centred on the welfare of retired police personnel and their families.
During the meeting, RPWA Leh president Sonam Dorjay apprised the DGP of various issues and grievances concerning the association and sought support for strengthening its activities and welfare initiatives for retired personnel.
The discussions covered a range of issues relating to the welfare of retired police personnel and their families. Members also put forward their views and suggestions during the interaction.
Jain appreciated the contribution, experience and welfare initiatives of retired police personnel and assured the association of support from Ladakh Police.
He also expressed interest in facilitating suitable office space for the association and extending other possible welfare measures for retired personnel in the future.
Several senior retired police officers and personnel, including former SP Nawang Tsering Shunu and former DySP Tsering Angchuk Lakrook, attended the meeting and shared their views.
During the interaction, AIG (Personnel), PHQ, and AIG (Provision), PHQ, also outlined initiatives and possible measures being considered by Ladakh Police to support retired personnel and their families and address their welfare needs.
The meeting concluded with the DGP reiterating Ladakh Police’s commitment to the welfare and well-being of retired personnel who have served the police organisation and the people of Ladakh.
