LEH: Government Middle School (GMS), Spituk, hosted a Parents’ Day-cum-School Level Talent Hunt Programme at Arahat Hall on Wednesday, bringing students, parents and teachers together for a cultural showcase.
The programme was organised by the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, through the National Population Education Cell, in collaboration with GMS Spituk.
Chief Education Officer (CEO), Leh, Delden Angmo, who attended as chief guest, appreciated the school staff for identifying and nurturing students’ talents. She also highlighted the importance of cultural diversity in schools, where students from different backgrounds learn and grow together.
Principal DIET Leh, S.D. Namgail, the guest of honour, assured the school of continued support for future talent-hunt activities. The financial assistance extended through the National Population Education Cell was also acknowledged for supporting school development and encouraging students’ participation in educational and co-curricular activities.
Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), Leh, Padma Deachen, congratulated the students, teachers and staff for their efforts.
The event featured colourful cultural performances by students, providing them a platform to display their creativity, confidence and varied talents. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by teacher Rinchen Angmo.
