LEH: Students of Middle School Ibex Colony visited the Science Laboratory at the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, on Thursday, where they took part in experiments and demonstrations aimed at giving them hands-on exposure to scientific concepts.
The visit was designed to bridge the gap between textbook learning and practical application, with students introduced to scientific principles through simple experiments and interactive demonstrations.
The activities encouraged the students to observe, ask questions and explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom. The practical approach was aimed at fostering curiosity and developing scientific thinking among the young learners.
The session was conducted by Chetna Sharma, Senior Lecturer; Kunzes Dolma, Senior Lecturer; and Rashida Parveen, Lecturer, who guided the students through the experiments and explained the concepts involved.
The programme was organised under the guidance of Principal DIET Leh Sonam Dorjey Namgail.
Students and teachers appreciated the initiative, describing the laboratory visit as an interactive and engaging learning experience that offered students an opportunity to understand science through observation and experimentation.
