IYD: Fire & Fury Corps conducts Yoga session, Medical Camp in Tia village

LEH: As part of activities leading up to International Yoga Day 2026, the Fire & Fury Corps on Friday organised a yoga session and medical camp at Tia village in Ladakh, bringing together residents, students and Army personnel in a wellness and healthcare outreach initiative.

The programme focused on promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and preventive healthcare through community participation and awareness-building activities.

Participants took part in guided yoga postures and breathing exercises designed to encourage a healthy lifestyle and improve overall well-being. The session witnessed the involvement of villagers, school students and Army personnel.

Alongside the yoga programme, a medical camp was conducted to provide healthcare services to local residents. Medical teams offered health consultations, routine check-ups and guidance on hygiene, nutrition and preventive healthcare practices.

Officials said the initiative was aimed at enhancing awareness about holistic wellness while extending essential healthcare services to the local population. The outreach also sought to encourage the adoption of healthy habits and preventive health measures at the community level.

The programme formed part of the Army’s continued engagement with border communities in Ladakh and underscored its efforts to support social welfare initiatives beyond its operational responsibilities.

The event concluded with active participation from the local community, reinforcing the longstanding relationship between the Indian Army and the people of Ladakh through initiatives focused on health, well-being and community development.
