Ladakh Govt orders transfer of 3 Joint Directors in Finance Department

LEH: The Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has ordered the transfer and posting of three Joint Directors in the Finance Department with immediate effect, reassigning their responsibilities across multiple government departments as part of an administrative reshuffle.

According to an order issued by the Finance Department, the transfers involve Stanzin Donsal, Iftikhar Hussain and Jigmet Namgail, all of whom were holding additional financial responsibilities in several departments. The order states that the transfers have been made in the interest of the administration.

Stanzin Donsal, who was serving in the Finance Department at the UT Secretariat while handling financial matters relating to departments including Revenue, Planning Development and Monitoring, Home, Finance, Public Works, Health and Medical Education and others, has been posted as Joint Director, Finance Department (IFD Opinion). He will now oversee financial matters relating to Housing and Urban Development, Transport, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Social and Tribal Welfare, General Administration, Power Development and New and Renewable Energy, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education and Skill Development, and Industries and Commerce.

Iftikhar Hussain, who was posted in the District Fund Office, Kargil with the additional charge of Pay and Accounts Officer, Kargil, has been transferred as Chief Controller of Finance, LAHDC Kargil. He will continue to hold the additional responsibilities of Pay and Accounts Officer, Kargil and Joint Director, Local Audit and Pensions.

Jigmet Namgail, who was looking after financial responsibilities for departments including Power Development and New and Renewable Energy, Cooperative, Youth Services and Sports, Agriculture and Horticulture, Estates and Hospitality and Protocol, has also been posted as Joint Director, Finance Department (IFD Opinion). His revised charge includes Health and Medical Education, Tourism and Culture, Disaster Management, Relief and Rehabilitation, Cooperatives, Information Technology, PD&MD, Law and Justice, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, and Hospitality and Protocol.

The order was issued with the approval of the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh and takes effect immediately.
