Mahabodhi School Mysuru Student selected for Nat’l Thal Sainik camp

MYSURU: Master Paynang Chakma, a student of Mahabodhi School, Mysuru, has been selected to represent the Karnataka & Goa Directorate NCC Unit at the National-Level Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) in New Delhi after qualifying in the State-Level Shooting Competition.

Chakma, who hails from Tripura, secured his place at the national camp after clearing a multi-stage selection process that took him through the School, Battalion, Taluk, District and State levels.

He will participate in the National-Level Thal Sainik Camp scheduled to be held in New Delhi on September 6.

The student will represent the Mysore Group Unit of the 14 Karnataka Battalion NCC at the camp.

The achievement has drawn appreciation from the management of Mahabodhi School, Mysuru, which congratulated Chakma and credited the NCC authorities and training staff for their guidance and support during the selection process.

The school management comprising Ven. Sobhana Bhanteji, Director; Jikmet Wangdus Jyothi, CEO; Venkateshwarlu, Education Coordinator; and Dr Annaporna, Principal, extended their best wishes to Chakma for the national competition.

The institution also acknowledged the contribution of Lt Col Tejus M, Commanding Officer, Subedar Major Sebastian Daniel, Associate NCC Officer Lutan Tashi Attho and other NCC personnel involved in his training.

Chakma’s selection marks his progression through a competitive NCC selection process and places him among the cadets chosen for the national-level camp.
