The event, held as part of the nationwide observance of International Yoga Day 2026, featured a mass yoga session during which participants performed a series of yoga postures and breathing exercises aimed at promoting physical fitness, mental well-being and healthy living.

The programme brought together youth and educational institutions in one of the largest youth-led Yoga Day celebrations held in Ladakh this year. Representatives of MY Bharat described yoga as a holistic practice that promotes resilience, inner strength and social harmony. They encouraged participants to integrate yoga into their daily routines and serve as advocates of healthy living within their communities.

The programme concluded with participants taking a pledge to continue practising yoga regularly and promote its benefits among family members, friends and society.

Organisers said the enthusiastic turnout reflected increasing awareness among Ladakh’s youth about the importance of preventive health, fitness and balanced living.
