LEH: The Central Institute of Buddhist Studies (CIBS), Choglamsar, has received a Bolero Camper vehicle from SBI Choglamsar under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, a move expected to strengthen the institute’s transport and operational capabilities.
The vehicle was handed over to the institute under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajesh Ranjan. According to the institute, the addition of the utility vehicle will support the transportation of materials, equipment, supplies and other goods required for the smooth conduct of academic, administrative and residential activities.
Officials said the vehicle will help improve the movement of resources across different locations of the institute and assist in carrying out field-based programmes and outreach activities more efficiently.
The institute noted that the Bolero Camper would help address logistical challenges encountered in day-to-day operations and enhance the overall functioning of various departments and institutional units.
Expressing gratitude to SBI Choglamsar for the support, the institute described the contribution as a useful addition to its infrastructure and operational resources.
CIBS stated that partnerships under CSR initiatives play an important role in supporting educational institutions and enabling them to strengthen facilities and services for students, faculty and staff.
The institute also expressed hope for continued cooperation from organisations and stakeholders in its efforts to preserve and promote Buddhist culture and traditions while advancing the revival of the Nalanda tradition of ancient Indian Buddhist learning.
