LEH: SSP Leh Fulzele Piyush Nirakar, IPS, on Tuesday convened a joint introductory meeting of officers and personnel of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Ladakh Police deployed in Leh for law and order duties, stressing discipline, restraint, coordination and professional conduct while dealing with the public.

The meeting was held at the District Police Lines (DPL), Leh, and was attended by officers and personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Rapid Action Force (RAF) and Ladakh Police.

Addressing the gathering, SSP Leh briefed the personnel on various aspects of law and order duties and underscored the need for coordinated functioning among the forces deployed for maintaining public order.

He particularly stressed the importance of discipline, restraint and professional conduct while interacting with members of the public, especially during situations requiring heightened sensitivity.

The Officer Commanding (OC) CRPF also addressed the gathering and called upon officers and personnel to maintain a calm, courteous and professional approach while handling law and order situations.

The officers called for close coordination between Ladakh Police and CAPF personnel so that law and order duties are carried out with professionalism and without compromising public safety.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks to the officers and personnel who attended the joint introductory session. All personnel were directed to uphold high standards of discipline, coordination and professionalism and work collectively to ensure peace, security and public order in Leh.
