KARGIL: NSS volunteers of the University of Ladakh, Kargil Campus, actively participated in an interactive session with the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as part of the “Khelo India Dialogue – Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Saath” initiative. The event focused on promoting youth fitness, sports participation, and building a robust athletic culture across the nation.
Prof. Saket Kushwaha, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ladakh, attended as the Chief Guest. Dr. Mehboob Ali graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour, while Jatinder Sahare, MY Bharat Coordinator and accomplished athlete, served as the Special Guest.
The program saw enthusiastic involvement from NSS volunteers, student-athletes, and university members. Notably, Ms. Zehra Batool, a student at the University of Ladakh, joined the interactive session directly with the Prime Minister.
The proceedings commenced with Dr. Mehboob Ali offering a traditional warm welcome to Jatinder Sahare and guest athletes by presenting traditional Khataks.
Addressing the gathering, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Saket Kushwaha commended Dr. Mehboob Ali (In-charge Administration), Dr. Murtaza Ali (NSS Programme Officer), and Dr. Wasim (NSS Coordinator) for their efforts in organizing the event.
Prof. Kushwaha emphasized the Prime Minister’s vision of empowering youth through initiatives like Khelo India and MY Bharat. He encouraged students to embrace sports and community service to foster leadership, discipline, personal fitness, and national pride.
