LEH: District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, on Tuesday observed Post Health Day in accordance with the guidelines of the National Population Education Project (NPEP) of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), with emphasis on promoting healthy living and preventive healthcare practices.
The programme focused on creating awareness among participants about the importance of maintaining good health through balanced nutrition, regular physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.
Faculty members highlighted the need to avoid overeating, adopt a balanced diet and engage in regular exercise as essential components of a healthy lifestyle. They also underscored the role of yoga in improving physical fitness, mental well-being and overall holistic development.
The speakers encouraged participants to incorporate healthy dietary habits and yoga into their daily routine, stating that sustained lifestyle changes are essential for leading healthier and more productive lives.
The awareness programme was organised as part of activities under the National Population Education Project to promote health consciousness among participants.
