DRASS: Deputy Commissioner Drass Imteeaz Kacho and UIDAI Director Jagdish Kumar on Monday reviewed Aadhaar enrolment, verification and update services in the newly created Drass district, with particular focus on pending Mandatory Biometric Updates (MBU).
The review meeting was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s office during Kumar’s visit to the district. Officials discussed various initiatives and activities of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), along with the institutional support required to strengthen Aadhaar-related services in Drass.
Kacho sought UIDAI’s cooperation in improving Aadhaar services in the district and assured the visiting Director that the district administration would extend necessary support for early resolution of pending issues.
Kumar highlighted the pendency of Mandatory Biometric Updates in Drass, which was taken up for further administrative support during the meeting.
The officials also reviewed issues concerning child enrolment, Offline Verification Seeking Entity (OVSE) services, Aadhaar enrolment and verification of residents aged 18 years and above, as well as verification of residents aged over 100 years.
The discussions were aimed at strengthening the delivery of Aadhaar enrolment, verification and update services to residents of Drass and addressing pending service-related issues in the district.
