DRASS: Students of Model Public School, Muradbagh, visited Police Station Drass under the ‘Know Your Police’ initiative to learn about police functioning, law enforcement and the role of the police in maintaining public safety.
During the visit, the students were briefed on the functioning of the police station and the District Police Office. They were also sensitised to the newly enacted criminal laws and the potential risks associated with online gaming, particularly for children and young people.
The students later interacted with the Superintendent of Police (SP), Drass, at his office, where they shared their experiences and appreciated the opportunity to learn about police operations. They also requested that similar interactive visits be organised regularly to help students better understand the police system and strengthen police-public relations.
The initiative aims to familiarise young people with police functioning, promote awareness and foster mutual trust and cooperation between the police and the public.
District Police Drass reiterated its commitment to strengthening police-public relations through community outreach and youth engagement programmes.
