LEH: Havildar Vikas Kumar Yadav of the Fire and Fury Corps has secured first place in the 20-kilometre walk race at the Army Inter-Command Athletics Championship 2026 being held in Hyderabad, earning recognition from the Corps for his performance.

Congratulating the soldier on his achievement, the Fire and Fury Corps described the victory as a testament to his endurance, discipline and commitment, noting that it reflected the high standards of physical fitness and professionalism associated with the Indian Army.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the Corps said Yadav’s success embodied the spirit of excellence and perseverance that defines military sport and wished him continued success in future competitions.

The Army Inter-Command Athletics Championship is among the Indian Army’s premier sporting events, bringing together athletes representing various operational commands to compete across multiple track and field disciplines.
