The programme was attended by participants of the training course as well as students from GDC Kargil.

The course focused on strengthening technical capacity and improving knowledge related to the exploration and sustainable management of critical and strategic mineral resources.

The valediction also provided a platform for highlighting the role of capacity building and industry-relevant learning in developing expertise in an area that has gained importance in resource exploration and management.

During the programme, ‘Drass Pickle – Trout’, developed through the Food Processing Skill Centre of GDC Drass, was formally launched in new packaging, with updated labelling and branding.

The college said the initiative was aimed at linking skill-based education with local resources, entrepreneurship and value addition, while providing a platform for locally developed products.
