LEH: Former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the BJP-led LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, on Thursday attended the launch of Naropa Care, a charitable healthcare initiative established under Live to Love, an organisation founded by His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa to promote humanitarian service and community welfare.

The launch ceremony, held at Zen Ladakh, brought together senior government functionaries, religious leaders, representatives of civil society organisations and delegates from national and international platforms to mark the commencement of the healthcare initiative.

Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Ashish Kundra (IAS) attended the programme as the Chief Guest, while His Eminence Drukpa Thuksey Rinpoche was the Guest of Honour.

Adv. Gyalson joined the gathering alongside religious dignitaries, monks, nuns, entrepreneurs, representatives of non-governmental organisations and social organisations, reflecting broad community participation in the initiative.

Naropa Care has been launched as a charitable health programme under the umbrella of Live to Love, which works in the fields of humanitarian assistance, healthcare and community welfare.

During the event, several social organisations working in diverse sectors were presented with the Naropa Appreciation Award in recognition of their contribution to social service and community development. The programme highlighted the collaborative role of charitable institutions, civil society and public stakeholders in strengthening community healthcare initiatives and expanding humanitarian outreach across Ladakh.
