NUBRA: The Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign 2026 began in Nubra on Wednesday with a Tiranga rally led by Deputy Commissioner Mukul Beniwal, marking the start of a series of campaign activities scheduled across the district until August 17.
The rally began from the Deputy Commissioner’s office and proceeded towards the Main Market, with participation from SSP Nubra Stanzin Losal, SDM Nubra Tashis Jorgais and officials from various government departments.
Ex-servicemen and students also joined the procession, carrying the National Flag and raising patriotic slogans.
Addressing participants, Beniwal described the campaign as an occasion to reflect on the value of India’s freedom and the sacrifices associated with the country’s independence.
He urged residents to participate actively in the campaign and display the National Flag with pride.
The Deputy Commissioner also spoke about the Tricolour as a symbol of national unity and pride and called upon participants to uphold the values represented by it.
The rally moved through the main market area amid enthusiastic participation from students, government employees and ex-servicemen.
The campaign will continue across Nubra through August 17 with a range of activities intended to encourage public participation and promote the display of the National Flag.
The opening rally brought together representatives of the administration, security establishment, educational institutions and local communities, setting the tone for the district-wide campaign.
