LEH: Around 1,500 people, including students, members of the public and BJP workers, participated in a Mega Tiranga Yatra organised by BJP Ladakh in Leh on Monday, with the procession passing through the town before culminating at the NDS Stadium.
The yatra was held under the leadership of BJP Ladakh president Tashi Gyaltson Khachu and saw the participation of former CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, senior party leaders and members.
The procession commenced from the Main Market and proceeded through Leh Gate before concluding at the NDS Stadium. Participants carried the National Flag and raised patriotic slogans during the march.
A large number of students from government and private schools, as well as school and college students from various institutions, joined the procession alongside members of the public and BJP workers.
BJP leaders and party members participated alongside students and residents, with the organisers stating that the event was intended to reaffirm their commitment to national unity, integrity and patriotism.
The yatra formed part of BJP Ladakh’s activities surrounding the Independence Day celebrations.
