LEH: The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Leh, in collaboration with its knowledge partner GoldenMile Learning successfully concluded the second phase of a three-day Leadership Communication Programme aimed at strengthening leadership and communication skills among Heads of Institutions across Ladakh.
Conducted at the DIET Training Hall, the programme focused on enhancing participants’ capacities in leadership communication, negotiation and conducting effective meetings to improve institutional management and school outcomes.
During the valedictory session, participants reflected on the lessons acquired during the training and appreciated the practical and interactive sessions led by Dr. Neepa Oza and the GoldenMile Learning team. The programme provided educators with strategies to strengthen communication, decision-making and collaborative leadership within their schools.
Addressing the gathering, Principal, DIET Leh, Sonam Dorjay Namgail, thanked Dr. Neepa Oza, Programme Director, and the GoldenMile Learning team for facilitating the training. He also acknowledged the contribution of Senior Lecturer Dorjay Wangchuk for conducting an additional half-day session on Artificial Intelligence and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), alongside the active participation of Heads of Institutions throughout the programme.
Certificates were presented to all participants in recognition of the successful completion of the training. During the closing session, participants were encouraged to apply the leadership and communication practices introduced during the programme to strengthen institutional functioning and support positive change in their respective schools.
The Principal also informed participants that a follow-up webinar is scheduled for September 2026 to reinforce the concepts covered during the training and review the implementation of institutional action plans prepared by the participants.
According to DIET Leh, the programme reflects its continuing focus on strengthening educational leadership and promoting sustained professional development among school leaders across the Union Territory of Ladakh.
