LEH: To review operational preparedness in one of the world’s most challenging military environments, Lt Gen Madanraj Pande, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire and Fury Corps, visited Siachen to assess the readiness of troops deployed on the world’s highest battlefield.

During his visit, the Corps Commander interacted with the Siachen Warriors and reviewed their operational preparedness amid the extreme terrain, severe weather and demanding high-altitude conditions that characterise the glacier sector.

Lt Gen Pande appreciated the troops for their high morale, professionalism and exceptional resilience, acknowledging their commitment to maintaining operational effectiveness in one of the most inhospitable environments on earth.

The Corps Commander exhorted all ranks to sustain the highest standards of operational readiness, discipline and professional excellence, while remaining prepared to meet emerging challenges in the strategically vital sector.

The visit underscored the Army’s continued emphasis on maintaining a high state of preparedness and ensuring the resilience and effectiveness of troops deployed in the challenging Siachen sector.
