Monday Parade: Ladakh Police calls for greater coordination among SFs

LEH: Ladakh Police on Monday called for greater coordination and cohesion among the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Ladakh Police battalions and District Police to ensure effective policing across the Union Territory, as the weekly Monday Parade was held at police establishments in Leh, Kargil and Agling.

The emphasis on coordinated functioning came during the inspection of ceremonial parades at District Police Lines (DPL) Kargil, DPL Leh and the IRP 25th Battalion ground at Agling, where police and security personnel were also reminded of the importance of discipline, smart turnout and dedication to duty.

At DPL Kargil, the SSP Kargil inspected the ceremonial parade and took the salute. Contingents drawn from CRPF companies, District Police and Women/Border Battalions participated in the parade.

At the IRP 25th Battalion ground in Agling, the Commandant, IRP 25th Battalion, inspected the parade, which included contingents from the IRP and Police Headquarters.

Addressing the personnel, the District Police Chief stressed that effective policing requires personnel from different formations to function as a coordinated force rather than as separate units. He called for close cooperation between CAPFs, Ladakh Police battalions and District Police in the discharge of their duties.

The officers also emphasised discipline and professional presentation, with personnel instructed to maintain smart turnout and uphold a high standard of commitment to duty.

During the inspection of various units under DPL Kargil, directions were issued to the respective in-charges regarding the proper upkeep of official records and cleanliness within their units.

The weekly parade was conducted simultaneously at the three locations in the presence of officers and officials from Police Headquarters.

The ceremonial proceedings concluded smoothly, with the participating contingents displaying discipline, coordination and preparedness.

The parade also provided an opportunity for senior officers to review organisational standards and reinforce the importance of coordination among the different police and security formations operating across Ladakh.
