LEH/NEW DELHI: The Department of Youth Affairs has urged young citizens to participate in the National Flag of India Quiz 2026, with only nine days remaining before the online competition concludes on August 15. Organised through the MY Bharat platform under the Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign, the initiative has drawn enthusiastic participation from youth across the country.
According to an official statement, the quiz is designed to deepen awareness about the history and evolution of the Indian National Flag, the contributions of personalities associated with its development, the Flag Code of India, the Prevention of Insults to National Honour Act, 1971, and other constitutional aspects related to the nation’s symbols.
The online quiz comprises 20 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 10 minutes. It is available in multiple Indian languages through the Bhashini platform, and every participant who successfully completes the quiz will receive an e-Certificate of Participation.
The competition is open to all registered users of the MY Bharat Portal. However, participants aged 21 to 29 years who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria will be considered for the winners’ category. The highest scorers will be shortlisted, and winners will be selected through a lottery-based process for an opportunity to visit India’s border areas.
The Department of Youth Affairs has appealed to eligible youth who have not yet participated to register on the MY Bharat Portal and complete the quiz before the August 15 deadline, describing the initiative as a celebration of patriotism, knowledge and active citizenship.
