NUBRA: Newly appointed Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nubra, Mohd Sufder Bhat, JKAS, on Tuesday reviewed the functioning of government departments, ongoing development works and public service delivery in the sub-division, calling for closer coordination among departments and timely implementation of government activities.
Bhat, who recently assumed charge as SDM Nubra, held a review-cum-introductory meeting with Heads of Departments at the Conference Hall of the DC Office Complex in Diskit. The meeting provided the new SDM an overview of departmental functioning and the status of development initiatives being undertaken across Nubra.
During the meeting, Heads of Departments briefed Bhat on the functioning of their respective departments, ongoing development works, progress of activities, assigned responsibilities and other programmes under implementation.
The SDM subsequently interacted with the officers to assess the functioning of various departments and obtain a broader view of development activities across the sub-division.
Emphasising the need for coordinated functioning of the administration, Bhat called for stronger inter-departmental coordination, effective communication and greater convergence among government departments. He also stressed the importance of ensuring that public services are delivered efficiently and within stipulated timelines.
The meeting was attended by all Heads of Departments of Nubra.
