KHALTSI: In a resounding commitment of the Govt. of India & to the Administration of UT of Ladakh, for building a drug-free nation, Sindhu Central University organized a mass pledge-taking ceremony under the nationwide Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Drug-Free India Campaign) on its campus.
The event witnessed enthusiastic, full-scale participation from the entire university community, including students, faculty members, administrative staff, and ground workers.
The pledge was administered in the august presence of the Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajeev Rattan Sharma, who commended the university community for their solidarity. Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor emphasized the critical role that educational institutions play in eradicating the menace of substance abuse.
He urged the youth to channel their energies into academic excellence, innovation, and community development, serving as ambassadors for a drug-free Ladakh and India.
The initiative aligns with the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment’s ongoing efforts to generate awareness and mobilize communities across India. By bringing together students and ground staff alike, Sindhu Central University has reinforced its dedication to the cause of nation building.
