LEH: The District Election Office, Leh, has launched a district-wide campaign to ensure that no eligible elector is left out of the electoral rolls, with special camps being held at 300 polling booths across the district in accordance with the Election Commission of India’s (ECI) instructions.
The initiative aims to ensure the inclusion of all eligible voters in the electoral rolls, while providing an avenue for people to raise complaints concerning their electoral registration.
The District Election Officer (DEO), Leh, has urged individuals with complaints relating to the electoral rolls to approach the designated election officials for assistance and redressal.
According to the District Election Office, the public can contact any of the 300 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) deployed across the district, eight Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs), who are Tehsildars, or the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) for the Ladakh Parliamentary Constituency, who is the Assistant Commissioner (Revenue).
The campaign is being undertaken as part of the district administration’s efforts to ensure that eligible electors are not excluded from the electoral rolls. The special camps across the 300 polling booths are intended to strengthen outreach and provide an opportunity for voters to bring registration-related grievances to the notice of the election machinery.
The District Election Office has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that every eligible voter is included in the electoral rolls and called upon the public to report any complaints to the designated officials.
