DRASS: Students from Government High School Murad Bagh and nearby feeding schools took part in a hands-on STEM education programme on Wednesday, with scientific demonstrations and experiments aimed at fostering curiosity, practical learning and interest in science among young learners.

Students from Classes 6 to 8 participated in the programme, which sought to take science learning beyond conventional classroom instruction through experimentation, observation and direct interaction with experts.

A team of STEM Education experts, under the guidance of Mehboob Ali, conducted a series of demonstrations and hands-on experiments, explaining the underlying scientific concepts in a simple and engaging manner.

The students watched the demonstrations with enthusiasm and actively interacted with the experts during the sessions.

Deputy Commissioner, Drass, Imteeaz Kacho, attended the programme and interacted with the students. He appreciated their enthusiasm and curiosity and encouraged the STEM Education team for providing practical and experiential learning opportunities.

Zonal Education Officer Mohammad Ibrahim was also present.

The programme provided students from Murad Bagh and neighbouring schools an opportunity to explore scientific concepts through practical activities rather than classroom instruction alone.

The initiative was welcomed by students and teachers and was aimed at strengthening interest in science, innovation and STEM-based learning among schoolchildren in the region.
