KARGIL: ThinkArts, in collaboration with Team Stringmo and with support from SA Ladakh Biennale and Roots Ladakh, organised a one-day art workshop for girls in Kargil on Tuesday, bringing together participants from different parts of the district to encourage creativity, artistic expression and collaborative learning.
The workshop was led by ThinkArts Founder Ruchira Das, who introduced participants to a range of artistic techniques through interactive sessions designed to help them express their ideas, emotions and personal experiences using visual art.
Addressing the participants, Das emphasised the role of art in fostering self-confidence, imagination and personal development. She encouraged the girls to explore their creative abilities in an inclusive learning environment that promoted experimentation and open expression.
The programme featured practical art activities and collaborative exercises, enabling participants to work with different artistic forms while interacting with fellow learners from across Kargil. The sessions focused on developing creativity, strengthening self-expression and encouraging peer learning through hands-on engagement.
Girls representing different parts of the district actively participated in the workshop, which sought to provide a platform for nurturing artistic talent and expanding opportunities for creative learning.
The organisers thanked Ruchira Das, SA Ladakh Biennale and Roots Ladakh for supporting the initiative and facilitating the successful conduct of the programme.
They also reaffirmed their commitment to organising similar workshops in the future to encourage young talent and create more opportunities for girls to develop their artistic skills through structured creative engagement.
