LEH: The Union Territory of Ladakh Administration on Tuesday ordered the transfer and posting of 13 officers in the Junior Scale, including several recently promoted Section Officers, with immediate effect.
The orders, issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), have also assigned additional charges to several officers and effected changes in key field-level and departmental positions across Leh and Kargil districts. The reshuffle follows the recent ad hoc promotion of officers from the post of Section Officer to the Junior Scale, with the Administration citing the interest of administration as the basis for the exercise.
Among the key changes, Anjil Singh, JKAS, presently serving as Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Nyoma, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Director, Information, Leh. He will also hold the additional charge of District Social Welfare Officer, Leh, relieving Nilza Angmo, JKAS, of the additional charge.
At the grassroots administrative level, Tsering Wangchuk, who was serving as Block Development Officer (BDO), Kargil, has been transferred as BDO, Leh, relieving Tufail Iqbal, JKAS, of the charge. Tufail Iqbal has, in turn, been assigned the charge of District Panchayat Officer (DPO), Leh, along with the additional charge of Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Leh, until further orders.
The order also marks the deployment of a number of newly promoted Junior Scale officers to BDO and other field-level assignments.
Asgar Ali, recently promoted from Section Officer and presently posted in the Animal Husbandry & Fisheries Department, has been posted as BDO, Sankoo, relieving Rakesh Singh Batla, who had been holding the post as an additional charge.
Similarly, Phuntsok Angdu has been posted as BDO, Durbuk, while Jigjit Galpo has been posted as BDO, Thiksey. Both officers were recently promoted from the post of Section Officer and were serving in the Revenue Department and Health & Medical Education Department respectively.
Stanzin Lotus has been posted as Assistant Labour Commissioner, Leh, relieving Sachin Bali, JKAS, of the additional charge.
In Kargil, Abass Ali has been posted as BDO, Shakar-Chiktan, relieving Mohd Issa, Subject Matter Specialist in the Agriculture Department, of the additional charge.
Mohd. Hassan, another recently promoted officer, has been posted as BDO, Kargil, replacing Tsering Wangchuk.The reshuffle also gives Punchok Angchok charge as BDO, Khaltsi, along with the additional charge of BDO Skurbuchan and Singe Lalok, relieving Dr Zakir Hussain, Veterinary Assistant Surgeon, Animal Husbandry Department.
In other postings, Haji Asgar Ali has been posted as Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Kargil, relieving Samina Khatoon, JKAS, of the additional charge. Tahira Nasrin has been posted as Assistant Director, Employment, Kargil, against an available vacancy.
Meanwhile, Chewang Rinchin (Angchuk), recently promoted from Section Officer and presently posted in the GAD, has been posted as Under Secretary to the Administration in the General Administration Department.
