AHMEDABAD: BJP Ladakh State President Tashi Gyaltson Khachu was felicitated by Gujarat BJP State President Jagdishbhai Vishvakarma during a visit to the BJP Gujarat State Party Office in Ahmedabad, where the two leaders emphasised organisational cohesion and exchanged views on Ladakh’s developmental trajectory.
The felicitation took place on July 9, with Vishvakarma welcoming the Ladakh BJP chief at the state party headquarters. According to the party, the interaction reflected continued coordination and engagement between BJP units across states and Union Territories.
Speaking on the occasion, Tashi Gyaltson Khachu expressed gratitude to the Gujarat BJP leadership for the reception and the opportunity to interact with party functionaries. He said the meeting reinforced the spirit of cooperation within the organisation.
Referring to Ladakh’s political and administrative journey, Khachu said the region’s long-pending demand for Union Territory status was fulfilled in 2019 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
