NYOMA: Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, on Tuesday reviewed preparations for the 80th Independence Day celebrations, directing all departments to complete assigned responsibilities on schedule and ensure coordinated efforts for the smooth conduct of the national event.
Chairing a review meeting in Nyoma, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the readiness of various departments and took stock of arrangements being made for the district-level celebrations.
The meeting examined preparations related to the venue, security deployment, sanitation, cultural programmes, refreshments, seating arrangements and other logistical requirements to ensure the event is conducted in an orderly and efficient manner.
Emphasising the importance of inter-departmental coordination, Rajora instructed all concerned officers to adhere to timelines and maintain close coordination while executing their respective responsibilities. He said every aspect of the programme should be completed well in advance to facilitate seamless celebrations.
Officials also discussed operational measures required for the event, with departments reviewing their preparedness and outlining plans for the execution of assigned tasks.
The district administration is undertaking coordinated preparations to ensure that the 80th Independence Day celebrations are conducted smoothly, with all civic, security and logistical arrangements in place.
