NYOMA: Deputy Commissioner, Changthang, Nitish Rajora, IAS, on Thursday reviewed the preparedness for the forthcoming Nomadic Festival at Korzok village, directing all concerned departments to complete pending arrangements within the stipulated timeframe and ensure coordinated execution for the smooth conduct of the event.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the readiness of the festival venue and took stock of the logistical and administrative preparations being undertaken by various departments ahead of the event.
Emphasising adherence to timelines, Rajora instructed the departments concerned to expedite the remaining works while maintaining close inter-departmental coordination to ensure that all essential facilities are in place before the commencement of the festival.
As part of the field visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected Tsokar village, where he reviewed the ongoing preparations associated with the forthcoming official programme. He directed the concerned departments to complete all assigned works well in advance, stressing that seamless coordination among executing agencies would be essential for the successful conduct of the visit.
The inspection was aimed at evaluating the overall preparedness of the district administration and ensuring that infrastructure, logistics and departmental responsibilities are aligned ahead of the scheduled engagements.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by the Superintendent of Police, Changthang, the Tehsildars of Nyoma and Hanley, along with other revenue officials during the inspection.
