KHALTSE: Deputy Commissioner Sham Kunzes Angmo (JKAS) on Saturday directed officials to ensure timely scrutiny and resolution of Army-related land cases in Sham District, with particular emphasis on proper verification of land records and strict adherence to prescribed rules and procedures.

Angmo issued the directions while chairing a review meeting at the DC Conference Hall, Khaltse, to assess the status of various land matters concerning the Army.

The meeting brought together civil administration, revenue and Army representatives to examine pending cases and issues requiring coordination among the concerned authorities.

During the review, the Deputy Commissioner stressed that each case should be examined systematically and transparently, with land records duly verified before further action is taken. She also called for adherence to relevant rules, regulations and established procedures while processing the matters.

Sub-Divisional Magistrates of Khaltse and Liker and the Tehsildar, Saspol, briefed the Deputy Commissioner on Army-related land cases falling within their respective jurisdictions. They presented the status of pending matters and identified cases requiring further verification, coordination and necessary action.

The meeting was attended by SDM Khaltse Mohd Sharif, SDM Liker Gurmet Namgail and Tehsildar Saspol Tanveer Ahmed, besides Lt Col J. S. Hanspal, Administrative Commandant, Station Headquarters Biama, and Maj Savindra Singh of Headquarters 402 (I) Artillery Brigade, Nurla.

SDO-I Pradeep Dutt and SDO-II Deepak Kumar of DEO Leh, Naib Tehsildars of Wanla and Skurbuchan, Readers to the SDMs, OQ officials of Tehsils Saspol and Khaltse, and concerned JCOs also participated in the meeting.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised close coordination among all concerned authorities to prevent delays in processing the cases and ensure that decisions are supported by verified records and follow the prescribed administrative process.

The meeting concluded with the participating authorities agreeing to work in coordination towards the timely and effective resolution of Army-related land matters in Sham District.
