Gyalson assures follow-up on devp and administrative issues
LEH: Former Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) of the BJP-led LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson, assured several public delegations that the issues raised by them would be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate consideration and redressal.
Meeting separate delegations at Leh, Gyalson received detailed representations highlighting administrative, developmental and public welfare concerns from different parts of Ladakh. He gave a patient hearing to the delegations and assured them of his continued support in pursuing their genuine demands with the competent authorities.
Among those who called on him was a delegation from Lower Drass, comprising representatives from various political parties, including the BJP. The delegation appreciated Gyalson’s role in facilitating the announcement of District Councils for all districts of Ladakh, including Drass, and thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena for fulfilling the long-pending demand. The members also raised issues related to the revenue administrative structure in Drass and sought his intervention for their resolution.
A delegation from BJP Likir, led by Tsewang Norboo Konka in the presence of District President Sham Konchok Ishay Stak, also met Gyalson and expressed appreciation for his efforts towards extending the district council framework across Ladakh. The delegation submitted demands concerning Likir and adjoining villages and sought continued support in resolving local development issues.
Later, a delegation from Domkhar, led by former Councillor Dr. Morup Dorjay, accompanied by the Nambardar and local residents, met the former CEC and raised several issues concerning infrastructure and development in their villages. The delegation also acknowledged his efforts in advocating for the extension of the LAHDC system to all districts of the Union Territory. Gyalson reiterated that the representations submitted by the delegations would be pursued with the concerned authorities and assured them of all possible support for the early resolution of their genuine grievances.
